Guelph Hurricanes move into third place with big weekend

The Guelph Hurricanes earned five of a possible six points on the weekend, including a 6-5 overtime win over the Waterloo Siskins on Sunday.

The Hurricanes now sit in third place in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League standings, one point ahead of the Listowel Cyclones.

Cameron Palmer's third goal of the game 1:22 into overtime, a power play tally, gave the Canes the win in Waterloo.

Ryan Waterhouse, Cameron Stokes and Cameron Ritchie had the other Guelph goals. Jason DaSilva went all the way in net.

Ryan Burns and Brody Milne each had a pair of assists.

Guelph has six regular season games remaining. Their next contest is Thursday in Brantford. Next home game is Saturday versus Brampton.
