The HOPE House Food Market is a free, choice-based pantry open to both working and non-working individuals and families who need a helping hand.
It operates on an appointment-based system. The first step is to visit https://lakesidehopehouse.ca/appt-request-form/ and fill out the form.
If you are NOT registered with HOPE House as a community member you will be emailed a registration form. You will be asked for your source(s) of income, but there is no income testing or eligibility criteria other than being a resident of Guelph or Wellington County. The registration process is in place to support reporting and tracking purposes.
Once you fill the registration form in, and email back, we will then follow up with your food order. If you do not have access to a computer, you can register over the phone (519-265-4299) with our Intake Worker, Bob Moore – Monday to Wednesday from 9 am to 4 pm and Thursday from 9 am to 6 pm.
Registered community members can book a Food Market appointment once each month.
During COVID-19, we are doing appointment only food pickups. Prior to your food market appointment, you will be contacted by HOPE House to take your grocery order. The order will then be packed by one of our volunteers while you wait in the cafe for it to be finished. Once finished, you are good to go.
