Driver seriously injured in transport collision

TOWN OF MINTO – On February 26, 2016 at approximately 8:50 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a serious collision involving a transport truck that was eastbound on Wellington Road 87 and a Subaru that was northbound on School Road 7, Town of Minto.

38-year-old Karen White of Hanover was the lone occupant of the car and was taken to a local hospital. 

She has now been airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries. 

49-year-old Kenneth Fry of Barrie was the lone occupant of the transport truck and was not injured. 

Guelph-Wellington Emergency Services (EMS) and the Town of Minto Fire Department attended the scene. 

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by the Wellington County OPP and the roads are open.
