WILMOT TWNP. – A tragic Friday morning in Wilmot Township.
Cambridge OPP said a 22-year old man from Fergus has died after a crash on Highway 7/8, at Foundry Street Thursday night.
Police said the man had initially crashed his vehicle, but was then struck by a second vehicle as he walked onto the roadway in foggy conditions.
The westbound side of the highway was closed for several hours, before opening around 5:30 a.m. Friday.
Police are now looking for any witnesses, who may have seen a red Toyota FRS sports car before 11:00 p.m. Thursday, in the Highway 7/8 and Regional Road 12 area.
