Daughter of the late Beatrice and Lionel Emberson. Beloved wife of Joseph Felice for over 62 years. Mother of Reta DeCourcey, Ray (Terri) Felice and Joe (Jackie) Felice. Predeceased by daughter Susan (December 24, 1973). Grandmother of seven; Deanna (Eric), Suzanne (Eugene), Andrea, Allison, Michelle, Jaelyn (Scott) and Steven. GG of seven; Austin, Hannah, Zoë, Isaac, Julia, Dustin and Alexis.
She was the eldest of eight children. Survived by her sisters Helen and Peggy, and her sisters-in-law Lillian, Shirley and Bernice. She will be sadly missed by her longtime friends Carm and Frank Grech. “Aunt Dode” to many nieces and nephews.
Doreen will be remembered for the kind and giving heart that she shared with all and her mischievous sense of humour. She loved dancing, listening to music, and was the life of the party.
Thank you to Guelph Lake Commons Retirement Home, the Village of Riverside Glen, Right at Home Canada (especially Abbey K.) and Dr. Cranmer for caring for Doreen over the years. Heartfelt appreciation for the compassionate care and attention offered by Hospice Wellington in Doreen’s final days.
Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Tuesday, December 17 from 7-9 pm and Wednesday, December 18 from 10am- 12pm. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12 noon. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre.
