Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

Loving companion of 35 years to Ken Marchant and mother to Nicole Digiglio (Mike), Jason Jackson (Ashley), Heather Johnson (Marcus), and Ryan Marchant (Natasha). Grandma to Alex, Abby, Declan, Emmerson, Brandon, Meredith, Auston, Malcolm, Victoria and Evelyn. Cherished big sister to Peter Lovatt (Cathy), Barbara McAllister (Nigel), and James Lovatt (Sue) and predeceased by parents Cedric and Freda Lovatt and ex-husband Terry Jackson.

Born in Skegness, England, Pat took a chance at 18 and came to Canada to meet her pen pal. In the years that followed she built a rich life in Canada. She was proud of her children and grandchildren, the first home she built in Pefferlaw with Terry, and volunteering for many years with charities like Mission Thrift Store. At every turn, Pat met the world with strength and resolve. A prolific reader and expert doll collector who loved to garden, craft and sew – and a friend to many – she will be greatly missed in the audience at music concerts in the Village by the Arboretum.

Pat’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses who cared for her in her final days.

Cremation has taken place. A visitation for friends and family will take place on Wednesday, March 27 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph. A celebration of life with friends and family will be held on Saturday, May 25 at the Village Centre in the Village by the Arboretum community in Guelph.

In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Arboretum Guelph where a tree will be planted in her memory, or the charity of one’s choice.

A tree will be planted in memory of Patricia (Pat) M. Jackson in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
