It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Francis Kirvan of Guelph on May 2, 2024 , in his 87th year, at Guelph General Hospital. Beloved father of Lisa Cox Sharman (Ken); much loved brother of Ron and Sr. Norma Kirvan IBVM; esteemed uncle of Darcel (Vince Cook) and Kyle; and cherished grandfather to Kayla, Natalie, Cody, Jesse, Eric and Reese. He was predeceased by parents Norman and Victorine, brother John and sister-in-law Louise.

After a short stint as a teacher, Paul turned his talents to the real estate industry as salesman and owner of his own agency in Guelph before moving to the Oakville area where he spent his retirement. Paul enjoyed cooking, watching Blue Jays games and listening to Celine Dion. He loved spending time with his daughter and grandchildren sharing stories and jokes.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Long Term Care Center in Guelph for their care, help and support.

Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation on Thursday May 9, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph, Ontario. The funeral – Liturgy of the Word will be held at the Dublin Chapel on Friday May 10, 2024 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Glen Oaks Cemetery, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, Ontario.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. Donation cards are available at the funeral home.
