Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at The Village of Arbour Trails on Sunday, December 8, 2019, with his loving wife of 60 years, Beverly, by his side, at the age of 88.
Loved father of Seth and Elizabeth. Predeceased by his brother Gordon Matson Nyvall of North Carolina.
Marshall was a retired educator at the University of Guelph. He will be dearly missed by his friends, colleagues and neighbours.
Cremation has taken place. At Marshall’s request, a private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Marshall N. Matson in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 2:30 pm.
