“Ripper” to all who knew him – It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Rick, at home with family, on Saturday, October 26, 2019 in his 60th year.
Survived by his loving wife Cathy (Brown) of 19 years. Cherished father of Samantha (Megan) and Brett. Loving brother of Allyson, son-in-law of Henry Brown and brother-in-law of Larry (Cindy) Brown and sister-in-law Betty Miller. Predeceased by his parents John (Jack) (1998) and Orma Laughren (2010), mother-in-law Mary (2016) and brother-in-law Dale (2019). Loving Papa to Leroy and Louie.
At Rick’s request, cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 6-9 pm. A private family service will be held at the time of interment. Rick was a huge Leafs fan, so please wear your blue and white.
A Celebration of Rick’s Life (and what would have been his 60th birthday party) will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 starting at 7 pm at the Red Chevron Club, 34 Elizabeth St., Guelph.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Richard J. Trimble in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 2:30 pm.
