On July 2 2020, members of the Guelph Police Internet Child Exploitation unit along with the Technological Crimes Unit, and members of the Guelph Police HEAT team after receiving an investigation from the Department of Homeland Security attended to a residence located in the north end of Guelph to execute a search warrant. During the search warrant, evidence was located and a 64-year-old Guelph male was arrested and charged with child pornography offences.
Below are the offences he was arrested and charged with:
• Possession of child pornography
• Accessing child pornography
• Print child pornography
The accused was subsequently released from custody with conditions before the Officer in Charge of the Guelph Police Service and provided a court date of Oct. 16, 2020 to answer to the charges. This Project has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
