On March 9, 2020 at 4:05 a.m., a taxi driver observed an [allegedly] intoxicated adult male get in to a vehicle located near the intersection of Stevenson Street North and Palmer Street in the City of Guelph, and begin driving. The taxi driver then contacted the Guelph Police Service.
At 4:12 a.m., police located the vehicle in a commercial parking lot located near the intersection of Eramosa Road and Stevenson Street North. Police spoke with the male and he was subsequently arrested.
A 25-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
• Operation while impaired
• Over 80mg impaired operation
He will appear in court on March 24.
