Guelph Police responded to 236 calls for service

The following news release was issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Male arrested after punching wall
On Feb. 15, 2020, an adult male entered into a verbal argument with another adult male patron over an alleged debt inside a business located in the downtown core of the City of Guelph. An employee intervened and asked him to leave. He then punched a glass window, which did not break, and proceeded to punch a hole in the drywall of the business, causing $50 worth of damage. He then left.

Police attended the scene but were unable to locate the male.

On Feb. 27 at 7:45 p.m., police located the male in the downtown core and he was subsequently arrested.

A 24-year-old Guelph male has been charged with mischief under $5,000.

He will appear in court on April 7.
