A Guelph woman faces several charges after another woman had her wallet stolen while volunteering at a downtown church.

On Jan. 7, the victim noticed her wallet missing after she finished her volunteer shift. She checked her online banking and noticed her debit and credit cards had been used to make several purchases at various businesses throughout downtown.

A suspect was caught on video using the cards at two of the businesses. On Monday she was located downtown and arrested. A 59-year-old woman is charged with eight counts of unauthorized use of a credit card, two counts of possessing a credit card and two counts of breaching probation. She was held for a bail hearing.
