OPP charge two with racing in separate incidents

An 18-year-old and a 29-year-old were charged with racing

TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH – On July 1, 2020 at approximately 9:05 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic and conducting radar on Lake Road near Travelled Road in Puslinch Township. The officer observed an eastbound motor vehicle travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 50 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 125 km/h.

Jack Warren Resendes, 18 years old of Cambridge has been charged with racing a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Guelph at the Ontario Court of Justice - Provincial Offences Court on Oct. 7, 2020. The vehicle and driver's licence were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.

TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH-ERAMOSA – On June 28, 2020 at approximately 3:25 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic and conducting radar on Wellington Road 124 near Wellington Road 29 in Guelph-Eramosa Township. The officer observed a westbound motor vehicle travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 60 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 115km/h.

Jessica Ashley Lee Page, 29 years old of Guelph has been charged with racing a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Guelph at the Ontario Court of Justice - Provincial Offences Court on Sept. 16, 2020. The vehicle and driver's licence were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
