A Guelph man faces weapons and other charges after he was arrested Thursday on an outstanding warrant.
Just after 8 a.m., Guelph police were conducting foot patrols at an address on Woolwich Street near Speedvale Avenue. They located a man in a common area packing property into bags.
Investigation determined the man was wanted for missing a court date last month. He was arrested following a brief foot pursuit and during a search officers located an open folding knife tucked into his shoe.
A 54-year-old is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, failing to appear in court and two counts of breaching a probation order. He was held for a bail hearing.
