Three face charges after police see an alleged drug deal

Police find $8,000-$10,000 worth of cocaine and $3,800 cash at accused dealer's house

On Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, the Guelph Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit observed a 21-year-old male resident of Guelph meeting with a 45-year-old male resident of Guelph in a manner consistent with a drug transaction. Police subsequently arrested both individuals and verified that the 21-year-old male had trafficked approximately $140 worth of cocaine to the 45-year-old male.  

A Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was subsequently executed at the 21-year-olds South end residence in Guelph. A search of the residence located approximately $8,000-$10,000 worth of cocaine and $3,800 cash. 

The 21-year-old male was subsequently charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Breach Probation. 

The 45-year-old male was subsequently charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. 

An 18-year-old female was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
