Guelph’s new online Arts Hub is officially live!

Guelph Arts Council (GAC)’s new website offers new and improved online services for members, organizations, and the Guelph-Wellington community. We are very excited to share this online space with you!

The new guelpharts.ca hosts all the same features as our old site, with a revamped look and integrated accessibility tools. Anyone can access the arts and culture events calendar, read GAC news articles, discover our program offerings, find resources, and browse the member directory.

The site also hosts new features. The online store is an exciting addition, which allows the Guelph-Wellington community to connect with and support local artists. Guelpharts.ca will serve as a central online location for members of Guelph’s arts community to showcase their work, and for community members to browse and shop local artwork, music, books, and more.

Guelph’s Arts Hub will continue to provide a full community events calendar that showcases many amazing offerings from the cultural community. GAC members can promote their events through the calendar and anyone browsing the site can find local events to attend.

If you are in search of resources, the new website provides just that! GAC’s digital resource library offers resources for professional development, space & venue rentals, arts education, grant writing, and more. The public can also access featured opportunities for jobs, calls for submission, or volunteer gigs.

GAC’s membership consists of artists and organizations from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds. To help showcase their work, the new site features a filterable Members Directory, complete with member profiles for you to browse. This feature is great for anyone looking to connect with specific types of artists to book performances, commission works, or teach workshops.

Both artist and organizational members can now access and update their member profiles where they can link to social media and provide photo, video, and audio examples of work. We are pleased to offer a training package to members so they can get started on the new site, and we are always happy to provide one-on-one training assistance if required. Current members will receive login instructions via email, and can contact [email protected] for website-related support.

Interested in becoming a member? Sign up on the new site and find out what benefits the site has for artists and organizational members. Access our membership information here.

We’re looking forward to developing partnerships with organizations who may wish to become Content Partners on the site. Content Partners can upload featured content in our News and Resources sections to help better serve our community, and assist with digital resource development on particular topics. We are grateful to  Guelph Museums, Vocamus Press, Eden Mills Writers Festival, and Otherwise Studios  who contributed as our launch Content Partners. If you are interested in becoming a Content Partner or learning more, please email [email protected].

We’d like to thank Canada Council for the Arts for making our new website possible, as well as Barking Dog Studios for their web development and design.

P.S. – Our URL hasn’t changed! Everything is accessible at www.guelpharts.ca
