TORONTO - Arthur’s Kelsey Lennox was a semifinalist in the annual Ambassador of the Fairs competition during the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) in Toronto.
Representing Arthur Agricultural Society, Lenno finished in the top seven of nearly 50 contestants, behind first place finisher Leah Lai of Lindsay and runners-up Taryn Kennedy of Ilderton and Luke McBride of Kincardine.
Contestants were evaluated based on their knowledge of the CNE and Canadian agriculture, poise, self-confidence, public speaking and judges’ overall impression.
The Ambassador of the Fairs program has existed for 50 years, with more than 3,000 contestants from more than 100 communities. Victors take part in a variety of special events and appearances on behalf of the CNE and their local agricultural society.
