GUELPH/ERAMOSA – Mayor Chris White earned the most in council remuneration in 2023.
Taking home $44,680 in remuneration, White had $1,920 in total expenses, which included mileage, meals and parking and attended one meeting virtually last year.
Each of the four councillors made $27,594 in remuneration.
While Coun. Corey Woods had the highest total 2023 expenses at $2,628, he attended every meeting during the year which included committee of the whole, heritage committee and council meetings.
At seven, Coun. Steve Liebig attended the most meetings virtually compared to Coun. Bruce Dickieson's three, Coun. Mark Bouwmeester's two and Mayor Chris White's one.
Twice absent, Bouwmeester missed one council meeting and one committee of the whole during 2023.
Dickieson had no expenses in 2023 while Bouwmeester had $568 and Liebig had approximately $886.
