With one day still to go in the nomination period, the list of candidates in the running to become Guelph’s next mayor has grown to four.

The latest to join the race is John Edward Krusky, who filed his paperwork with the city clerk’s office on Wednesday. Efforts to reach Krusky for comment weren’t immediately successful.

Krusky's Twitter account biography notes he is director of GTI Security Consulting Inc. and Golden Triangle Investigations, working as a bodyguard, security consultant and private investigator.

Also in the running for mayor are Danny Drew and Nicholas A. Ross, who both filed on Tuesday, as well as incumbent Cam Guthrie.

The deadline to register for the Oct. 24 municipal election is this Friday at 2 p.m.
