Welcome to the Guelph Summer Gift Card Auction!

Tuesday, June 15 at noon to Monday, June 21 at 8 p.m

GuelphToday+ members receive early access to Buy Now deals on Tuesday, June 15. The auction opens to the public on Wed, June 16 at noon.

Please READ THE RULES, particularly the part about credit card authorizations. In short, each time you place a bid, the system places a hold authorization for that amount on your card. When you are outbid, the hold is released. If you bid $50 on ten different items, this means $500 of your available balance will be unavailable until you're outbid. Any winning bids at the end of the auction are captured - meaning your card is charged. Buy Now items will be charged to your credit card at the time of purchase.  We recommend you use a credit card, not a debit card for this auction. A released hold may take several days to reflect on your statement.

What happens if I win or buy an item?
Following the conclusion of the auction, all winners and ‘buy now’ buyers will receive a confirmation email, which will provide some detail on how to pick up your items. After the auction closes, it may take us a few days to process the results, so items can’t be picked up immediately.  Please check the pickup instructions for each of your items for the dates/times and location.  For any auction related questions, please email [email protected]

About Royal City School of Ballet and Jazz

Established in 1979 by Patricia McLeod, RCSB follows the RAD syllabus for ballet, ISTD for Modern Jazz and Acrobatic Arts and ADTA for Acro. (See links on our Home page for these organizations).

We have a serious, but non-competitive attitude in our approach to the teaching of dance. Progress only flourishes in a disciplined, yet positive and cheerful atmosphere.

Careers after RCSB. Students from RCSB have gone on to programs at NBS and subsequently the company, RWB school, Dutch National Ballet, Quinte Ballet School, Italia Conti Theatre in England, University of Windsor Theatre, Ryerson University, York University, George Brown Sheridan and more. Others have performed leading roles in major theatres, TV series and independent movies, or pursued careers as dance teachers, dance company administration and physiotherapy.

Many younger students have performed with Ballet Jorgen’s youth touring and local casts and in RCMPI musical productions.

Why choose Royal City School of Ballet and Jazz?

  • Royal City School of Ballet and Jazz is a well-established experienced dance school - 40 years and counting!
  • Teachers are mature and experienced - Students assist only in classes, they do not teach the classes.
  • A full-scale Performance is held every three years enabling RCSB to focus on the learning of the art form of dance.
  • Opportunities for dance examinations with organizations holding a high world-wide standard.
  • Age-appropriate dance movements, music attire and costumes.
  • Live pianist accompaniment.
  • Dance at RCSB is a drop-off activity so that students are not distracted by the presence of parents or siblings.

Parents are invited to observe classes twice yearly during the three week Open Houses in December and May/June. In a Performance year, the Performance supplants the Open House.
