Community Builders Awards: Jeremy Luke Hill honoured for pivotal role in Guelph arts community

Jeremy’s passion for the arts helps writers in Guelph flourish

Jeremy Luke Hill is indispensable to the Guelph literary scene.

His work goes far beyond the scope of his own writing. Jeremy’s philosophy that arts and literature can build a sense of belonging, unite community members and foster empathy and the actions he has taken to make this a reality make him a true community builder in Guelph.

He created Vocamus Writer’s Community, a non-profit organization that promotes book culture in our city and gives community members a platform to share their work and exchange ideas in an accessible and welcoming environment.

Jeremy has tremendously enriched the city of Guelph’s arts community by tirelessly advocating for book culture, encouraging and developing the work of local writers and creating a sense of community around them and their work.

He is also a publisher for Gordon Hill Press, where he is able to help cultivate and share literature from local writers with the Guelph community.

The Arts Award is presented to an individual or group that has helped to strengthen the local arts community by championing an individual, event, idea, ethic, or philosophy.

Congratulations, Jeremy!

This award is proudly sponsored by Guelph Medical Imaging.
