How should Guelph grow and develop?

Online engagement November 26-December 18

Guelph must plan for a population growth of about 60,000 people over the next 30 years to meet provincially legislated growth targets. Through our Shaping Guelph – Growth Management Strategy project we will look at how we plan for and manage this growth.

We are just beginning our growth scenario planning work and we need your help. Growth scenarios look at different ways that Guelph can accommodate its population and employment growth to 2051. Considering the community’s preferences for where and how to grow, we developed a growth scenario that tests Guelph’s ability to meet minimum Provincial density targets and forecasts using the existing Official Plan as our guide – a base case growth scenario. We want to hear from you about:

• Your reactions to the base case growth scenario and
• Your suggestions for other growth scenarios that should be explored.
