Chief Executive Officer
THRIVE Child Development Centre /
Centre de développement de l’enfant;
Sault Ste. Marie, ON
We are seeking a dynamic, strategic and visionary leader to build on the strengths of past accomplishments and steer our organization to new heights in changing the lives of children, youth and their families. As one of twenty-one children’s treatment centres across Ontario, THRIVE is a well-established organization supporting over 1000 children and youth from 0-19 years of age across the District of Algoma. These children and youth are impacted by differences in physical, perceptual, communication and/or developmental trajectories. We build on their unique strengths, gifts and talents so that they and their families can truly thrive.
Now is the time to apply your corporate leadership skills to an immensely rewarding full-time career working alongside 50+ dedicated employees and a caring Board of Directors. We have a firm commitment to a family-centred approach to service delivery that enables staff to assist children, youth and families with the identification of personal strengths, skill building and empowerment. Our culture of optimism and helping others permeates our organization, making this the ideal place to work.
As the preferred candidate, you have five or more years of senior level leadership experience in a not-for-profit organization and a graduate degree in business, public administration, health, social services or a related area. You have a proven track record of success in financial and operational oversight, fostering relationships, team growth and an ability to cultivate and work effectively with a Board of Directors. Experience with the children’s service sector will shorten the learning curve, but strong leadership skills which can be transferred to this environment will be supported by our highly knowledgeable staff with many years of expertise in this field.
Salary is competitive with market standards. Benefits include paid vacation and sick days, extended health benefits, and contribution to a leading industry pension plan.
Our head office is located in Sault Ste. Marie and the successful candidate will work from this location, periodically travelling to our satellite offices in Elliot Lake and Wawa.
