Alice Munroe (aka Alice)

(Humane Society)

Hi everyone, my name is Alice Munroe and I'm a super sweet and beautiful mastiff. At just over 80 pounds the word 'gentle giant' truly describes me, I love people and cuddling up to them.

I can be quite protective of the people I love which is why I probably don't show well when you first meet me. I like to bark and try to be tough, but once you get me outside the shelter and out for a walk you'll see I'm nothing but a big softie.

I'm not always aware of my size (sometimes I think I'm a lap dog) so a home with children over 12 would be recommended so I don't accidentally knock them over.

I would likely get along with a boyfriend/big brother dog, the shelter thinks I get jealous of other females so a sister wouldn't be recommended. The shelter is requiring I be set up for training with a dog trainer who utilizes positive reinforcement to set me up for success.

In trying to find me a home quicker (I've been at the shelter since late March) the shelter is hosting The Great Canadian Adopt-A-Thon! From July 1 - Sept. 4, animals with a Canadian name and maple leaf symbol on the adoption website will be available for adoption for $150 (or less).

My adoption fee will only be $150, but you'll see that I'm worth so much more than that! I'm honestly an amazing girl who deserves an equally amazing family who can spoil me rotten. Thanks so much and hope to see you soon!
