Axel
Hi, I’m Axel. I am a very outgoing, social boy who likes to make friends with everyone I meet. I LOVE attention and getting pets - I'm even standing to get pets in my picture! I get really excited to see people, especially my good friends – I’ll even run over to greet you.
I am looking for a low stress home where I can be the light of your life. I would do best without any siblings (human or animal), so you and I can get to know each other really well.
I’m currently on a weight loss journey, so I am looking for a family that can continue to help me on it. It’s hard to stay on a diet with all those tasty treats around, but I am a good boy who is trying my best!
The GHS have been taking really good care of me, and have discovered that I have a heart condition that means my heart isn’t working as well as it should. GHS is running tests to see if I will need some medication to help it; however, my condition does mean that I will be a palliative adoption.
I am hopeful that someone will see me for the amazing, loving boy I am and choose me for my very own #Happy Tail! I would be a great companion – we can hang out and watch your favourite shows, and then chat about them afterwards (I do love a good chat).
If you're looking for a snuggle buddy to keep you company, you've found him!
The GHS contactless adoptions have been so successful – they have given over 700 pets a loving #HappyTail during COVID-19! Virtual and/or phone adoption meetings will happen by appointment only.
If you think Axel would be a good match for your home, check out the GHS contactless adoption process at guelphhumane.ca.
