UPDATE: 19 new cases in Wellington County Friday, five in Guelph

There are currently no hospitalized cases in Guelph or Wellington County

There were 19 new cases confirmed in Wellington County on Friday and five new cases confirmed in Guelph.

That brings the total number of active cases to 64 in Wellington County and 44 in Guelph.

Guelph

Wellington County

School cases

There are currently four active cases in the Upper Grand District School Board: one each at King George, Island Lake (Orangeville), Waverley Drive and Wellington Heights (Mount Forest.

The Wellington Catholic District School board currenly does not have any active cases.

The University of Guelph has four active cases, three on its main campus and one at a research station. The last case was confirmed on Nov. 15.

Institution outbreaks

There are nine cases reported at six different long-term care and retirement locations in the area. Two staff each at Stone Lodge and Village of Riverside Glen long-term care home (Mapleton), single staff members at Caressant Care (Fergus), Caressant Care (Arthur), Village of Riverside Glen retirement home (Emma) and one resident at VIllage of Riverside Glen long-term care (Eramosa).
