The Career Education Council (CEC) is a registered charity that serves Guelph, Wellington, and Dufferin. We create partnerships and provide experiences that provide youth with meaningful opportunities for experiential learning, career exploration and skill development.
Additionally, we help youths to explore their career opportunities and discover strong connections to the workforce. We do this through educating and informing them about post-secondary and job opportunities, serving as a bridge between business, industry, and the workplace.
Furthermore, we connect directly with youth to assist them in gaining an understanding of employment trends that will influence their ability to find meaningful, fulfilling work in the future. Our focus is on in-demand careers that reflect our local employment landscape.
The CEC provides classroom and community workshops along with career events that provide youth with opportunities for experiential learning, career exploration, and skill development. We work closely with community partners, school boards, teachers, and local employers to stay informed on ways that we can best serve youth in our community.
