Why does being an Angel Donor matter?

Angels are monthly donors who make a special commitment to our moms and babies. Angels help provide us with stable funding so that we can, in turn, provide a stable home for vulnerable pregnant women and new mothers in our community. For as little as $25 a month you can impact lives at Michael House. It is simple and easy to join, and you can cancel at any time.

Angel Donors are changing the world one little family at a time.

Michael House offers four distinct programs to support and encourage the mother-led families that we serve. Our Residential Program houses pregnant and parenting women in a supportive environment which includes staff trained in attachment parenting and Infant Mental Health - they are available onsite 24/7. The residents have access to a Public Health nurse, educational support, parenting program as well as support in the community for mental health and addiction issues.

Emily's Place is an eight-unit Supportive Housing apartment building with affordable rent. Women and their children have an onsite worker who meets with them weekly. While at Emily's Place the women focus on their goals for the future such as education, employment and the health of themselves and their families.

Our Aftercare Program ensures that the families remain supported after they have moved out into the community. Home visits, access to donations, support with property owners, school, employment, and transportation are all provided by the Aftercare Program. We want to make sure that no one who is in need will fall through the cracks.

Twice a month we have a Drop-in Program where current and past residents get together to share a meal, visit, access donations and share their concerns about parenting and managing life as a single parent. The Drop-in Program battles the isolation and loneliness that single parents may experience.

Our goal is that all mothers who turn to us will find the resources and the encouragement they need to build successful futures for themselves and for their children. In the last number of years, over 300 women and children have been served and supported.

Special Message to our Church Family

This is your invitation to participate in our Baby Bottle Campaign. A baby bottle signifies that we are offering a second try – a story of redemption, restoration and even salvation, in some instances. Please connect with us so we can make sure you are part of our next campaign.
