Catherine Shearer - Your Guelph Personal Injury Lawyer
Catherine has dedicated her practice to helping those who have suffered life changing injuries because she has seen, through a close family member’s struggles, the devastating effects of such injuries. Catherine has witnessed the physical and emotional toll it takes on the injured person and their families. Her job is to help put families back together after these tragic events whether it is a car accident, medical mistake or denial of disability benefits
Catherine’s passion for helping others is fueled by the injustices that injured victims and their families face. She believes in a results based practice that is built upon advocating for human values, fairness, and justice.Catherine is proud of the support she has provided to countless families facing some of their most difficult periods.
Outside of the office, Catherine is a mom, wife, dog mom, and wellness enthusiast. She believes deeply in giving back to the Guelph community in which she lives. She is a Community Connector with the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington, she is the Secretary of the Board for the Wellington Law Association and is the Vice President of Legal Education and a founding board member of the Birth Rights Bar Association Canada. Catherine is also a mentor to other lawyers through the Law Society of Ontario and the Women’s Law Association of Ontario. Catherine is an advocate for mental health both for her clients and other lawyers. She has created a mental health podcast for lawyers to help struggling lawyers find their path.
