Dave Rodgers is an environmental scientist and a dedicated outdoor enthusiast, who’s lived in Puslinch Township for more than 30 years. He is committed to helping Ontario maintain and extend its leading role in the environmental sciences and in transitioning to a sustainable economy. Dave welcomes this opportunity to represent Wellington Halton Hills and provide a real alternative for voters to return integrity and good policy to Ontario politics.
Dave obtained his PhD from the University of Guelph and spent more than 25 years working at the interface of energy and the environment with Ontario Hydro Research Division and its successors. He now works an independent consultant in the environmental sciences. Dave is an assessor with the Standards Council of Canada and the Canadian Association for Laboratory Accreditation.
Dave’s put in his share of time judging middle and high school science fairs and coaching local soccer and basketball. He represented Puslinch Township on the Hamilton Conservation Authority and now serves as the township delegate on the Hamilton – Halton Source Water Protection Committee. He is a director of the Friends of Mill Creek, a volunteer, community-based organization dedicated to maintaining and enhancing his local watershed.
Dave is a long time Green and was the GPO’s candidate for Wellington Halton Hills in the 2014 Ontario election. Since the election, he’s been active in the riding’s registration as a Constituency Association and serves on the executive in the riding’s federal and provincial associations.
