Diane Ballantyne is an award-winning secondary school teacher and a passionate activist championing social justice issues including water, poverty and human rights.  

Diane sits on the Ontario College of Teachers Council and is an active leader in the union movement with a strong commitment to professional development. 

Diane is the co-founder of the Centre Wellington Chapter of the Council of Canadians and founder of the Centre Wellington Community dinner project.

Alongside Andrea Horwath, Diane will help ensure everyone in Wellington-Halton Hills will have coverage for drug and dental care – regardless of age, income or job status.
