Trish Schreiber has been a fixture on the Guelph Real Estate Market since 1989. Her love for people and her passion for her craft are what drives her.
Trish was born and raised in Palmerston, Ontario (a small country community in the Northern part of Wellington County), but fell in love with Guelph while completing her post-secondary schooling. She studied and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Management Economics in 1987 from the University of Guelph. Her initial interest was in mortgage lending but was introduced to real estate while taking housing courses as her elective. During her University years, Trish worked for the Township of Minto as their assistant clerk treasurer and then went on to work for Dowling Spears in Harriston as the Assistant Manager.
With encouragement from friends and strangers to pursue sales, Trish decided to complete the Real Estate Courses and quickly knew that the Real Estate industry was where she was meant to work.
This is not only evident from the strong base of loyal and repeat clients but Trishs’ recognition comes also from the numerous sales awards she has received since her first year, including receiving Top Tier Status in 2018, which is given to Royal LePage Realtors who rank in the top 5% nationally. She is most proud of achieving the Royal LePage Diamond Award, which represents Realtors in the top 3% of Ontario.
The University of Guelph’s Real Estate and Housing Degree Program, (one of only two Universities in Canada that offer a real estate program) invited Trish to be a guest speaker in 1994 when the program was first incepted and she has continued to speak to first year students relaying tips for first time buyers on qualifying for a mortgage and sharing real life strategies for sales. Over the years, Trish has become a mentor to a number of students in that program.
Along with expert selling strategies and negotiation skills, Trish’s clients can always expect a kind and pleasant demeanour, a friendly smile and positive outlook. She takes the stress out of any transaction for her clients.
When Trish is not thinking about real estate she is continually helping her Guelph community by supporting local organizations such as Family & Children’s Services of Guelph & Wellington County, 100 Women Who Care Guelph, supporting an annual CBaSE Scholarship at The University of Guelph, a monthly contributor to Habitat for Humanity and most recently has committed to donating a portion of each commission to help support The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation.
