GuelphToday received the following letter to the editor from the members of Beth Isaiah Synagogue regarding the support of the local community:

We, the members of Beth Isaiah Synagogue are truly blessed to have the caring and support of many Guelph organizations including Smitten Apparel, Guelph Tool Library, Breakfast Club of Guelph, Two Rivers Neighbourhood, and Church of the Apostles (St. James and St. Matthew).

Your loving words give us strength as we grieve the loss of eleven members of the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. Finding notes of encouragement on the front door of our house of worship helped to make us feel safe in this very special city of Guelph.

Drawing from the words of Jack Layton, we believe “Love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful, and optimistic. And we’ll change the world.”
