The Rotary Club of Guelph’s annual Sparkles in the Park fireworks on New Year's Eve will be extra special this year as 2020 marks 100 years of Rotary in Guelph.

New Year's Eve celebrations will feature an extravagant display of fireworks starting at 8 p.m. at Riverside Park.

Celebrations for the holiday season began on Dec. 14 with a Sparkles in the Park transforming Riverside Park for the festive season.

The light displays will be up until Dec. 31 and are open every night from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Free carousel rides began on Dec. 21 and will run every day from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. every day until Dec. 31.

The event is free but donations will be collected in support of Rotary Club of Guelph’s local and international programs.
