$7,500 in damage inflicted on construction equipment

CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP – On June 4, 2016 at approximately 8:50 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of damage to property including construction equipment on Ross Street in Elora, Centre Wellington Township.

Investigation revealed that sometime overnight unknown suspect/s entered onto the property and removed a fence then proceeded to damage the windshield of a bulldozer and the engine of a frontend loader.

Estimated cost of the damage is $6,500. The investigation is still ongoing.

TOWN OF ERIN – On June 6, 2016 at approximately 6:15 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of mischief to property that occurred over the past few days at the Halton Crushed Stone Quarry located on the 10th Line in the Town of Erin.

Investigation revealed that unknown suspect/s entered into the gated property and tampered with the construction equipment and smashed the windows out of a truck in order to gain access to the vehicle.

Estimated cost of the damage is $1,000. The investigation is still ongoing.
