A coordinated effort from several local agencies and a group of volunteers saw a full Christmas dinner served in a parking lot in Downtown Guelph on Christmas Day.

Turkey, dressing, potatoes, vegetables, gravy, cranberry sauce, dessert, cider and coffee plus a Christmas gift and a Christmas stocking were all provided to those who showed up starting a little after 12:30 p.m.

Donna Huber was the driving force behind the effort.

The street volunteer said they had enough food to feed between 75 and 100 people.

The Church of the Apostles' Kitchen Bees led by John Dennis, HOPE House, Chalmers and other groups prepared and serviced the meals along with supplying the gifts people were given.
