The basement auditorium of Dublin Street United Church will be taken over by craft vendors and ukulele players starting at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, as the Creative Spark Winter Market happens. It runs until 4 p.m.
Twenty-seven vendors will be on hand with their jewelry, woodworking, woolen things, pottery, honey, art, glassware, and sweets – all of the best kind of handmade gift items for the holiday season.
The venue will be set up in a floor plan that allows visitor time to browse everything that is on offer.
The Royal City Ukulele Ensemble will be performing festive tunes on the stage. The Ontario Veterinary College is a partner in the event this year.
This is the 5th annual Winter Market. Organizers say Guelph and area is a creative hotspot, and the show will consist only of handcrafted goods, while showcasing gifted local artists. It’s a place to find a unique gift for a special someone.
The event supports the Guelph Food Bank. Non-perishable food items or a small monetary donation to the food bank is the price of admission.
