Returning for another holiday season, A Very Charlie Brown concert returns to the Guelph Youth Music Centre (GYMC) on Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m. The event is a popular seasonal favourite and enjoyed by audiences of all ages.

The Emmy Award-winning holiday tradition features the magical soundtrack created by Vince Guaraldi and performed by Adam Bowman on drums, Thomas Hammerton on piano and Tyler Wagler on bass. They will also be joined by The Kingsburg Music Singers directed by Shannon Kingsbury.

“Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas without Charlie Brown and what a pleasure to host this concert event again this year,” says GYMC executive director, Gabriella Currie-Ziegler. “Let’s all ring in the season together and see all the smiling faces of children and everyone who attends. Tickets sell out quickly, so I recommend getting them soon!”

With stellar talent, this promises to be a delightful and festive evening from beginning to end.

“For as long as I can remember, A Charlie Brown Christmas has been the soundtrack of the holidays for me,” says drummer/leader, Adam Bowman. “There are great jazz albums and great Christmas albums, but very few that are both. The holidays can mean different things to different people. From the magic of youthful excitement to nostalgic reflection, from melancholy memories to great delight, this music visits all of those emotions. I look forward to playing these songs with some great musicians and friends, and hope it can add a little enjoyment of the season for all.”

Tickets:

Adult: $15
Student or senior: $10
Children 14 and under: $5

Tickets are available at the GYMC main office – 519-837-1119 or online.
