A popular open air antique market near Guelph will not open later this month due to the current stay-at-home order.
Aberfoyle Antique Market was scheduled to reopen on April but in a social media post on Thursday announced it would not be able to open as planned due to the provincial stay-at-home order.
"Hopefully we will be able to open in May but this will be fully determined by the Ontario Government and our local Health Authority," said the post on Instagram.
In 2020 the market missed its opening day as well, and opened for a shortened season on June 21.
Unlike in the years prior to the pandemic, the market opened last year with a mask and physical distancing requirement, as well as enhanced cleaning in place and hand sanitizer stations throughout the 20-acre site.
A new opening date for the 2021 season will be announced in the future.
