The 11th annual Guelph Brain Tumour Walk is hoping to raise $35,000 this Sunday.

Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. at the University of Guelph Arboretum on College Avenue East. Opening ceremonies are at 9:50 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m.

This is the 35th anniversary for the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.

A press release said the walk is "a unique opportunity to celebrate survivors, honour and remember those who have passed away, and raise awareness about this devastating disease."

Run by Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada and local volunteers, this event will raise money for programs, services and research.

“Patients and families are the heart of Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. The Brain Tumour Walk will support the hundreds of people in Guelph affected by a brain tumour diagnosis and we’re so thrilled to see the excitement and support ramp up for this event,” said Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada CEO Susan Marshall in the press release. “Together we make a real difference in the lives of those affected by brain tumours."
