The Upper Grand District School Board is offering grade 12 students the opportunity to apply for a summer co-op in the skilled trades. This program prepares and supports students to make successful transitions to careers in the skilled trades.

Students will explore the realities and opportunities of the modern workplace while refining their employability skills. Students may also have the opportunity to explore apprenticeship trades through the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP).

This program offers students six weekly pre-placement sessions, four integration classes, health and safety training, a job placement with a qualified company, the ability to earn two high school credits and more. Students can apply for this program by speaking to a guidance counsellor at their school.

Registration is open until March 13 and UGDSB students can register through myBlueprint.
