Guelph’s favourite mobile phone photography contest returns

Winning entries to be part of fifth annual guelPhonography exhibit

GUELPH - The fifth annual guelPhonography contest invites people to be part of a community-based mobile phone photography exhibit.

guelPhonography encourages people to share photos of Guelph and Wellington County on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Google+ using the hashtag #guelphonography.

Anyone can post and follow the hashtag to see the people, places, history, heritage, sports and spirit that make Guelph beautiful.

The annual mobile phone photography contest allows people to submit up to three photos for a chance to be part of the guelPhonography exhibit.

“guelPhonography starts online, and becomes a beautiful exhibit and community event. We love seeing how people use different apps and filters to create amazing digital images, and when they’re printed on wood, metal or plexiglass they really come to life,” said guelPhonography organizer, Kim Lawrence.

How to enter:

  • Adults in Ontario can enter up to three photos in the contest.
  • Photos have to be taken in Guelph/Wellington using a mobile phone or tablet.
  • To submit a photo of someone, entrants must have the person’s permission.
  • Read full contest rules and details
  • Contest ends August 30
