NEWS RELEASE

NECESSARY ARTS COMPANY (NAC)

***********************
Necessary Arts Company (NAC) launched it's second annual Hoop-la show at The ebar on June 13. With 100 pieces of framed circular art in the show and over 50 artists, it's a wonderful collection of widely different techniques, mediums and personalities.

This show is different than many others.

From the $70 sale price of each piece, the artists who created the piece gets 70 percent and 10 percent funds the NAC Studio grant.

Last year Necessary Arts Company, a local collaborative studio space, awarded over $300 to a local artist to use towards outfitting a studio in his home.

With over 15 applications to this grant, NAC knows that there is a need  within our community for monetary support of artists. This year NAC is hoping to sell all 100 pieces and have $700 to award to another local artist.

The ebar opening was well attended and will continue to be on display there until July 15. Hoop-la will be available at Art on the Street on July 16 as well.

All the pieces can be viewed at NAC's website.
