Guelph Arts Council presents The Collector’s Dilemma, an auction of fine art previously owned by local collectors. This afternoon of bidding, listening and mingling happens on Sunday, Feb. 17 from 1 – 4 p.m. at Canada Company Hall, River Run Centre. All proceeds benefit Guelph Arts Council.

Thanks to the generosity of local art collectors - who’ve run out of wall space or are making room for new treasures – an amazing collection of quality artwork, in a range of media, styles, sizes, and values, will be sold in live and silent auctions.

The event also features a talk on how to build, refine and revise an art collection by Renann Isaacs of Guelph’s Renann Isaacs Contemporary Art in downtown Guelph. Renann’s gallery has become a destination for people who appreciate and collect fine art.

Mingle with other art enthusiasts while sipping a complimentary glass of wine or beer and enjoying light snacks from a local caterer.

Oil, watercolour, and acrylic paintings and prints by well-known local artists are available.

Tickets are $40 or 2 for $75 and are available online at Eventbrite or in person or by phone at Guelph Arts Council, 10C Shared Space, 42 Carden Street. Office hours are Tuesday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Please call 519-836-3280 or email [email protected] for tickets or information.
