On April 25, 2016 at 7:57 a.m., the Guelph Police received a call about a male on Eastview who had attempted to steal a bike but was scared off when he was seen.

Police located a male matching the description and pulled up next to him.

The male ran from police and a short pursuit led to his arrest on Mountford Drive.

A search subsequent to his arrest discovered tools consistent with being break in instruments.

Darryl O’Brien, 36 years of Guelph has been charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of break in instruments. He will appear in court on April 26, 2016.
