The Guelph and District Association of Realtors reports that home sales are down slightly from September, but still set a new record for the month of October.
There were a total of 492 residential unit sales in the month of October 2020. This marks a decrease of 27 home sales from Septembe and a jump of 5 per cent from last October.
The Canadian Real Estate Association says new listings in October remained near record-high levels.
In October 2020:
- 492 residential units were sold
- $741,746 was the average price of homes sold
- 523 new residential listings were posted
In September 2020:
- 519 residential units were sold
- $757,424 was the average price of homes sold
- 628 new residential listings were posted
To compare, in October 2019:
- 493 residential units were sold
- $612,682 was the average price of homes sold
- 477 new residential listings were posted
