GUELPH MUSICFEST

*************************
This Friday, June 17 at 7:30 p.m. experience something fresh and extraordinary!

Internationally-renowned Steinway artist David Braid joins the amazing Penderecki String Quartet in the Musicfest 2016 finale.

Multiple Juno Award-winning Canadian composer David Braid is thrilled to collaborate with the Penderecki String Quartet which is celebrating its 30th anniversary as one of Canada’s greatest string quartets.

The music they play is designed to "get under your skin" in a fresh way that engages and complements your imagination.

The goal of their performances together is to provide a sensual experience of sound that is artistically presented, narrative-driven, and rendered in the most beautiful colours of strings and piano.

Inspired by Werner Herzog's Cave of Forgotten Dreams, a central part of their program is Braid's provocative composition, Chalet, a deeply felt work that expresses the astounding mysteries behind the 33,000-year-old paintings recently discovered in central France.

Advance tickets available online (order online and save; Limited number of discounted tickets available online), by phone 519-993-7591, or visit guelphmusicfest.ca.
