Biggest downtown food truck picnic at Exhibition Park

Ten per cent of all food sales will go towards the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization

Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Guelph and Sweet Temptations Cupcakery are co-hosting their first Downtown Food Truck Picnic together.

They anticipate it to be the largest ever downtown picnic with 12 food trucks and 13 local vendors including Sweet Temptations, Eating Clouds, Ish & Chips, Giordano's Kitchen Co., Pierogi Pigs, El Milagro, The Frying Dutchman, Breakfast Blues & BBQs, Fo' Cheezy, Schmuck Truck, Wild Boar, Jashan-e-Dawat.

Confirmed Vendors areL Guelph Public Library, Guelph Water wagon, Canadian Blood Services, Cleo the Clown & Painting Pals, Guelph Family Martial Arts, Laza, Food & Beverages Inc., Guelph Nighthawks, Clean Slate Art Gallery, Loyalty Club, Co Working Parent Studio, Kultivar & Co. parked in the lay-by along Exhibition street facing Exhibition Park on May 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Communications coordinator Ashley Maginnis at Big Brothers Big Sisters said 10 per cent of all food sales will go towards the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization to support over 625 children in the Guelph area.

Admission to the event is free and the hosts recommend to bring cash to the event.

“This is our fourth year with a bigger lineup of food trucks, additional vendor’s onsite offering activities for children and the return of our licensed Beer Garden,” said Maginnis.

“It looks like several thousand might show up. We’re very excited for it.”

The event will also have The Guelph Water Wagon, Cleo the Clown, Guelph Nighthawks,and face painting for children.
