Bike lovers unite at community event (6 photos)

Love Your Bike event attracts cyclists of all types and ages

The fourth annual Love Your Bike Community Cycling Festival attracted a small but passionate crowd to the front lawn of St. Andrew's Church on Saturday.

The celebration of all things bicycle is organized by the Guelph Coalition for Active Transportation and GORBA (Guelph Off-Road Bicycling Association).

The event included free bike tune ups, a contest that pitted Mayor Cam Guthrie against three experienced bicycle mechanics in a "wrench-off," a bicycle blessing and moment of silence for those killed riding bikes and two separate group rides.

Free tune-ups were supplied by local bike shops Backpeddling, Paramount Sports and Speed River Bicycle.
